APEX chart drill down capability question

BillUKJan 17 2011 — edited Feb 8 2011
Hi,

I have a question regarding drill down facility in APEX. I have created a bar chart (link at the bottom of post). It shows 'Months' along the x-axis (ignore the fact that they are called 'SM_xxxxx', I will correct this in my schema) and also 'Number of Calls' for the y-axis. The query contains clauses which only output data for certain customers and between certain months based on 'Page_Items' for which I have created on the page. This is all well and good.

My question is, If I want to drill down by clicking on one of the bars, e.g. the bar showing 22 calls within SMP11_09/10 (which is essentially November 2009), is there a way to link this to a similar chart on another page, which will show these 22 calls split across each week in that month e.g. Week 1 = 10 calls, Week 2 = 5 calls, Week 3 = 5 calls, Week 4 = 2 calls? And if so, can you provide an explanation of how this can be done please and what changes would need to be considered to the schema to allow this?

Currently, I am trying to do this by clicking on the 'Chart Attributes' and then going to the 'Action Link' section. If I understand correctly, this only allows you take the values of 'link', 'label' and 'value' in our chart and this presents us with a problem, as I would like to take the 'Customer Name', 'Month' and 'Number of Calls' value as parameters to base the query of the subsequent drill down chart on.

I am grateful for your assistance with this!
