Apex application update problem
SandLakeJun 27 2011 — edited Jun 29 2011I support an Apex 2.0 application and I have encountered a strange installation problem. I have to visit my clients site to perform the application upgrade, I can upload the application into the repository but when I attempt the install it the process doesn't complete, the installation appears to have been spawned off to the database server and appears to have installed correctly but a currently anonymous gateway/proxy server steps in and reports that the connection has been lost. I suspect that the gateway server is set to timeout if no communication has been received within 4 to 5 minutes although the installation continues after that timeout.
Can I assume that the installation has completed fully successfully? What can I do to ensure the installation has completed correctly (apart from the obvious action of getting the gateway server to not timeout too soon)?
