APEX application protection

itobinhOct 7 2009 — edited Oct 9 2009
We have build an APEX application and now we would like to sell this application to the market.
Our concern is how to do copy protection for our APEX application so that no one can copy the application and install it on another server without proper license from us.
There are some alternative in our mind to have copy protection:

1. Implement Session State Protection and we will put in the application a date limitation (under page condition), example: 31/12/2010 and send the application package to the customer as "run application" only. So the customer has to revalidate the application before 31/12/2009 and we will send them new installation package with new date limitation set to 31/12/2011.

2. Use YubiKey as mentioned on the http://www.apextras.com/?p=218

We also will "wrap" our PL/SQL packages (db trigger, function etc.).

Any other ideas?
