Apex application exposed to outside world

What would be minimum requirement to expose the Apex Application to the outside world. The server running the Apex is on unix and is inside the fire wall.

What kind of HTTP server is required to expose it to the outside as well as inside users.

Would it be required to install a Oracle HTTP Server in DMZ or it can be any HTTP server.
