APEX app to SVN

APEX 4.1.1
Windows 7
SVN 1.7
SQL Developer 3.1.07

Trying to move an APEX application to Subversion from within Oracle SQL Developer. Appears I can Import an application into APEX and export an aplication out of SVN all from within SQL Developer. However I cannot do the reverse. How do I do the reverse (export an APEX application then import the application all from within SQL Developer? And is the APEX application just considered a SQL file/script?
