We are building an global Apex app where the initial data will be uploaded by excel and mapped to a collection objects . This will be again mapped to an IG grid where data will be validated and pushed to a DB table. There are few amount fields as part of this. As different users will enter in their local formats with different decimal or group separators, would Apex auto-discover and apply the format based on the users browser setting etc. And is there any additional formatting needs to be applied to save this data to the database table.
Please comment/suggest on how to handle this global requirement as some of you may have come across this common requirement and handled it well.
