I've been spending time recently working to improve the SEO ranking of my website. Currently I'm working to improve the page speed score for the various pages of my website. Unfortunately, many of the items that the tool is complaining about are built into Apex. For example, the tool give an 'F' score on the 'Specify image dimensions' section because all of the images in the interactive report 'Actions' menu have no dimensions specified. I can't fix that. I also get a low score on the 'Optimize Images' section because a number of the images built into the themes can be optimized further using image compressor tools like jpegtran and OptiPNG.
It would be incredible if for the next release of Apex, the team would optimize the images in the themes shipped with the software and make the HTML tweaks required such that out-of-the-box Aoex maxes out all of the categories tested. This will improve the SEO scores of sites built with Apex *and* improve their performance.
