APEX and ORDS > Using POST to insert long strings (CLOB)

Denes KubicekMar 10 2016 — edited Mar 10 2016

I am fighting with REST at the moment. The goal is to create a webservice using PUT method, to get a couple of string parameters (key, name, etc.) and a big chunk of data which exceeds the limit that can be transfered using header. The screenshots will explain my problem. How do I need to configure the webservice in order to achieve that?

1. webservice definition

2. Testing Webservice:

3. result is an error:

HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request

Date: Thu, 10 Mar 2016 20:19:39 GMT

Server: Apache/2.2.15 (Oracle)

Content-Length: 392

Connection: close

Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>400 Bad Request</title> </head><body> <h1>Bad Request</h1> <p>Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.<br /> Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.<br /> <pre> p_wjl_clob </pre>/n</p> <hr> <address>Apache/2.2.15 (Oracle) Server at sg12.satlog.com Port 443</address> </body></html>

Thanks,
