I'd forgotten that items in Apex 4 had a limit of 32 KB. This is currently causing me some headaches with some large rich text editor fields in an Apex 4.2 application. I created a test on the early adopter site to see if this is still an issue, and find I can't populate a text area with more than 4000 characters. I'm assuming this is a VARCHAR2 length issue, but I assumed it would be 32KB. Are we still going to be limited to 32 KB in Apex 5?
I created a demo to show what I mean: https://apexea.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=12431:1
Test IDs 2, 4, and 5 all display correctly in the text field. IDs 1, 3 and 6 do not. The source for the Text item is just "SELECT myclob FROM bigarea WHERE id = :P1_ID"
