APEX 4.0.2 - Missing buttons on Calendar Screen - URGENT HELP PLEASE!

CherniJun 3 2011 — edited Jun 14 2011
Hi,

We are experiencing a very strange issue related to the Calendar in one of our applications. This issue is directly related to the application being Translated (Globalization). We have tested this issue in Application Express 4.0.1.00.03 and Application Express 4.0.2.00.07 and the same issue occurs. We recently upgraded from Apex 3 and we did not experience this at all.

Globalization Attributes:
Application Primary Language: English (EN)
Application Language Derived From: Browser (use browser language preference)

Translation Application:
Mappings -> Language Code: EN

The application is seeded, then the XLIFF file is downloaded. We use a program called ATR.EXE to translate the elements. We upload the new XLIFF file and publish the application....so this is all standard translating procedure

*....however...*

when we navigate to a Calendar page, the buttons have disappeared and the calendar is incorrectly aligned to the right of the screen. When we change Application Language Derived From: Browser (use browser language preference) to Application Language Derived From: No NLS (Application not translated) the buttons reappear and the region is now aligned back to the centre of the page. There is nothing odd with the templates (page, region, calendar) but the HTML table that the buttons are in does not appear in the source code when the application is "translated" but reappears when it is not!

So, in summary...

Before the application is translated
Buttons are on the Calendar region and the buttons are visible

After the application is translated
Buttons disappear and they are also not visible in the HTML source code

Another thing we noticed, if we create a new region (button_holder) and move the buttons off the calendar region and onto this new region, then the buttons all appear post translation but the calendar is still aligned incorrectly to the right!

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas then please post!

Thanks!
