APEX 20.2: switch universal theme but no "reset grid" option shown

Christophe VittorelliFeb 2 2021 — edited Feb 2 2021

Dear Everyone,
We just upgrade APEX to the latest version 20.2. We would like to take this opportunity to switch a customized theme done 3 years ago (based on Universal theme, it was in Apex 5) to the latest Universal theme from the repository.

Please find below the steps done:
Step 0. Custtomized them is the current one, and we have also 42. Universal Theme already installed
Step 1. We refresh the Universal them 42. to the latest version
Step 2. We click on "Switch theme" in order to have the the 42. from the repository as Current.
But here, we DO NOT the option "reset grid : keep current region and items grid settings"
Step 3: we match the templates based on the proposed action asked by the wizzard

So we have several issues:
the layout is completely removed (colors, particular settings for regions or items)
the grid settings is deleted! so the regions or items that was place in columns are now inline...
In each page of the application, the region did not keep the appearance template "standard" or "interactive report" but replace it with a long number

Is there anything that i done wrongly? Why we do not have the "reset grid" option when we switch themes? How I can properly switch the thme and avoid too many manual action for the layout/style to apply?
It would be a drastic work if I have to redo all the layout for all my applications (I have hundreds...)

Thanks a lot for your help...
Best regards,
Christophe
