apache net serving jsp to tomcat URGENT!

I'm running apache2 & tomcat 5.0.27 with mod_jk (not mod_jk2) on a redhat enterprise es server. Apache is running and serving static pages fine (http://localhost/HelloWorld.html). The standalone
tomcat runs serving jsps fine (http://localhost:8080/HelloWorld.jsp). But when I try to marry Apache
and Tomcat, I can't get it to work (http://localhost/HelloWorld.jsp). I want to be able to use the
Tomcat Administrator and Tomcat Manager.

I've included my server.xml, httpd.conf, workers.properties file below. I'm stumped as to what I need
to do to get this running. I only have a couple more days to get this server up and I really could use
someone's help. I've tried different solutions on the internet that I've found but nothing worked.
Please help!!!

I get the following error in the mod_jk.log file:
