Any way to create PERMANENT (301) url redirects in pl/sql?

fatehcis-JavaNetOct 19 2015 — edited Dec 12 2015

Hello,

I have a pl/sql procedure that is taking in old urls from a system and redirecting to new urls. Currently this is just done with owa_util.redirect_url(newurl) but this method of redirect sets the response status code to 302 which is only a temporary redirect, and it needs to instead be 301 (permanent redirect) for search engine friendliness. I've tried playing around with owa_util.status_line(301) and the htp and utl_http packages but no dice so far; maybe I'm missing something since I'm sure it must be possible to do this. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.
