Any StorEdge A1000 compatible disks ?
807557Jul 11 2009 — edited Jul 11 2009My StorEdge A1000 has a fault harddisk inside, and I found that it is difficult to find a compatible harddisk for replacement.
My disk array form a RAID 5+1 setting and the disks use inside with model number MAN3367M, MAP3367M and ST336605L.
Since I can't find these model in retail store. I went visit SUN webpage and it said MAJ3364MC is compatible to use in A1000. So, I go bought a second-hand one from retail store and checked that it has no bad block.
But after I replace the disk, it show a green light about 5 sec and change back to amber light.
It is very urgent because the system can't allow to has 1 more disk failure. I need to fix this ASAP. Hope SUN hardware support can give me some idea.
