antivirus for redhat enterprise linux ?

We have R12.1.1 with database 11.1.0.7 on Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.3 (64 bit ).

We have some drives shared for samba access through windows machines.

IT audit has raised a point that is Linux server secured with anti virus . I want to know that should we install Anti virus on our linux server (yes/no) ?

Is linux secured already without antivirus ? PLease give some examples / proof / evidence .
