Ampersand (&) in the string

I've tried to find solution in the forum, but unsuccessfully...
Here is a Q:
I have a report. I created a link column in it. When clicked the link opens a details report by the value of the field 1. Everything works fine, except the records were the value contains '&', ',' or '.' .
',' and '.' issues can be handled by enclosing the field value in the backslash (\#ACCOUNT#\). But ampersand is ... It appears in the hidden object as &аmр;
I will apreciate any help in this issue. Thnks in advance
