AMGH Configuration - Common Database Administration

796699Nov 26 2009 — edited Nov 30 2009
Dear All,

I need to get AMGH working between three sites; each of which has a single Sun Ray FOG configured. Each site effectively belongs to a different organisation, however, they do have networks connections between them which, for these purposes, we can assume are as open as is required for this task.

Assuming that there is no chance of having a shared LDAP database for the moment does anyone have any suggestions for automatically maintaining a simple 'token=abc server=xyz' flat database file which can then be distributed to each host in each FOG every evening?

My initial thoughts were to somehow write a script (with plenty of sed and grep) that can pull out all token/server information from a SRDS export (from the 'utldbmcat' command) and then build a flat file from that. Unfortunately it's been a while since I did any serious sed work so any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Chris
