alternate color banding based on dept nbr column in pivot table (obiee)

We have a client requirement to display alternate color banding based on dept nbr column. We have used pivot table as per the requirement. Report in below format should be displayed with same colors for dept nbr *1 and 3*
Dept No Item No Cost
*1 51464 45*
*54512 56*
*14611 46*
2 5464 21
2356 23
2548 26
*3 2536 69*
*2658 26*
*4587 45*
Data with Department no's 1, 3 should be of 1 color (ie., all the item's under dept 1,3 should be of same color)
Hence alternate color banding needs to be achieved.
Could any of the experts throw some light on this area. Please let us know asap.
