Alter tolerance USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA

On an existing table with a high tolerance i.e. 0.000005 we would like to alter this to 0.005.
We have recreated spatial indexes.
Do the underlying SDO_ORDINACE array data need to be updated / data reloaded?
If so what is the preferend approach?
