Allow only numbers in input text

Hi

I am using Jdev 11.1.2

I have requirement like, I need to restrict the user can enter only numbers and .(dot) in input text box.

I have java script code but it is not working(but its working on html).

Can any one share me code or any script.

Please any one could help me.
