Alert Log Errors: TNS-12599: TNS:cryptographic Checksum Mismatch

raphiFeb 22 2019 — edited Feb 27 2019

We are running Enterprise Manager 13.3 and the alert.logs of our 12.2 databases are still flooded with TNS-12599 errors. I am aware that Doc ID 2332486.1 describes this issue and provides some workarounds (which are not an option for us) and that it links to an interim patch. But the Doc is from 2017 and the patch was issued for EM 13.2, I would've hoped that 13.3 has that fix incorporated but apparently that is not the case.

Does anyone know if and when an official and final patch will be released to fix this or another way to work around this bug without compromising security?

On a related note, we also get this errors on our Standby Databases when we enable SHA2 (strangely not on our primaries), does this have the same underlying cause in the JDBC driver?
