After removing system generated trace files it's not releasing the space

Hi DBA's

This is a recurring issue in that we remove the system generated trace files like dbwr,arch etc.. and it doesn’t free up disk.

Last time we bounced the database to get the disk space and I’d like to see if there is an online fix for this prior to bouncing the database.
