After reboot, mounting gives mount poit is already mounted or busy

Unfortunately, this mount point contains a big chunk of our development work in the SunOS platform. Can I still mount the drive? Is it lost or can it be recovered? Where do I start?
I have checked the /etc/mnttab and /etc/vfstab files and the details of the mount point aren't there. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
