After reboot, mounting gives mount poit is already mounted or busy

Hi. I'm not a Solaris admin but unfortunately I'm the only admin in town. I issued a reboot command from the prompt. After rebooting I executed mount /dev/md/dsk/d5 /app but it returns mount: /dev/md/dsk/d5 is already mounted or /app is busy

Unfortunately, this mount point contains a big chunk of our development work in the SunOS platform. Can I still mount the drive? Is it lost or can it be recovered? Where do I start?

I have checked the /etc/mnttab and /etc/vfstab files and the details of the mount point aren't there. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
