Another step in my continuing saga of installing OL r8u1 I configure the vm with 2 NICs. The first is NAT, the second bridged. When doing the configuration during installation, I leave the first - enp0s3 - configured for a DHCP address, and simply 'turn it on'. The second, enp0s8, I need to make a manual IP assignment. So I configure like this. Note the assigned IP address is 192.168.0.200. But when I save it and come back to the main network panel, it shows a different address: And after completing the install and rebooting, a check with ifconfig looks like the adapter is not started - does not have an ip address assigned.
