Advantages And/or Disadvantages of having a DATE Column and TIME Column

I have a Transactions Table that currently has a Column of Transaction_Date Column

I was looking to Add a Column of Transaction_Time as a separate column.

*** I am using Oracle APEX***

My thinking was to have both for When I create Reports of Forms

it would be good to present both instead of Date and Time being together
