Admin user password not working after migration

essappOct 22 2015 — edited Oct 26 2015

I migrated Shared Services & a planning application from our PROD environment to TEST using user 'hypadmin', which is a native user with administrative privileges in both environments. After the migration, we can no longer login to the TEST environment with the (default) 'admin' user-id. We can still see the user-id in Shared Services and it is provisioned as administrator. However, we cannot login with it.

My understanding was that native passwords do NOT change during LCM import. Does anybody know why the 'admin' password got reset or encountered this issue before ? Version is 11.1.2

Although we have another adminsitrative user 'hypadmin', we would like to have access to default admin user-id. We tried to see if we can alter the 'admin' password using 'hypadmin' but there was no option to do so when we right click 'admin' -> properties.

We do have backups of Shared Services database but if we restore it, we will still need to migrate HSS security using LCM again and thus expect to encounter the same issue?

Any guidance appreciated.
