AddInstallUsertoGroupException

StoneyBrooksSep 5 2016 — edited Sep 6 2016

Hello All,

I am at a complete loss. Some of my users encounter AddInstallUsertoGroupException at 96% installation of Oracle12c on Windows Server 2008 R2.

Error 1.jpg

More details:
I manage a series of Virtual Machines that are issues to my users. Each of these VMs is configured exactly the same - from a Windows server 2008 R2 image. This image includes an administrator account (mine), and the setup for Oracle 12c. Once instantiated, I enter the VM on my account and create an administrator account for my users.

When some of my users enter their VMs and install Oracle, they encounter this error and others do not. I cannot tell a difference between them. In addition, if I log in to the servers that encounter this error with my account, I can complete the installation without this error occurring. This leads me to believe that there is a difference in the Windows accounts between my users and myself, but we are both full administrators on the VM.

Does anyone have any ideas?
