Adding an Assembly Line to an Existing Domain in Weblogic

Dave SandersJan 6 2025

We are wanting to add a new assembly line to an existing Weblogic domain. The Documaker installation guide contains instructions on adding an assembly line when creating a new domain, but we' d like to add it to an existing domain.

Oracle Documaker Enterprise Edition Installation Guide

In the F:\Oracle\odee\documaker\j2ee\weblogic\oracle11g\scripts directory, we are instructed to run wls_create_domain.cmd. But we don't want that. I see that in that same directory there are two other files that may be what want.

  • wls_add_assembly_line.cmd
  • wls_addto_domain.cmd

Can someone confirm that one of these is what we want to execute in order to add an assembly line to an existing Weblogic domain?

Thanks

Dave

Your ENTRA users will get authenticated via JSON Web Tokens, and their Entra roles will determine which ORDS REST APIs they can hit.

When they hit an endpoint, it'll execute code in the database as the database user that owns the schema where the REST API is defined, not as Entra defiend end user. In fact, the Entra users won't have accounts in the database (they could, but wont' need to).

The :current_user field as far as ords is concerned would be the corresponding oauth2 client or JWT issued for the authorizied session.

Your prehook should be able to alter the session to set the context that would put your RLS/VPD security policy in play.
