Adding a narrative text box to a Hyperion planning form

We are on 9.3.1 and would like to remove many of our budget templates from a word doc to centralize into Hyperion Planning.

On a demo at an Oracle site we have seen where they have the planning form data grid and below it a text box for the user to populate a description for the amounts.

Would like to replicate that but unsure how. I would assume the 'text box' would have to be a dimension so that you can add it to the planning form but what type/format or such?

I think the person demoing this did some pretty intense customization...

Just want to see if anyone out there has done anything like this..
