Add links/buttons to tree nodes

gillfirMar 23 2015 — edited Mar 23 2015

Good afternoon,

I'm working with APEX 4.2.6.00.03 and I have a question regarding building a tree.  The last tree I tried building was in an OLDER version of APEX and I was able to add a link to the end of the name/title field.  This allowed me to click the name/title to update the node or click the link to add a child node.

In 4.2.6.00.03, the link is not being translated as a link.  Is this expected function?  I will grant that I may have typoed while building the link.

If this is expected function, does anyone have a way to be able to add a link or button to the end of a node so that I can edit the contents of the node or create a child node under a node.  I'm looking to do something like this:

- Project 1  (Add Child)

  Project 2  (Add Child)

  - P2 Child 1  (Add Child)

    P2 Child 2  (Add Child)

Project 3  (Add Child)

If I click on the name Project 1, the edit form is displayed with Project 1's data.  If I click on Add Child on on the Project 3 line, a blank edit form is displayed with Project 3's parent info passed in.

Thanks
