Add a link pointing to a document stored in UCM.

I am building a WCP using portal builder (WC 11.1.1.8).

I have the following use case:
I need to add a link on my portal page. Upon clicking on that link the corresponding pdf document should be loaded. This pdf document comes from UCM. UCM should provide that doc to the current user only if he/she has access to it. I can even show/hide the link based on the role of the user.

Please let me know how to do this. Any pointers to videos or documents is appreciated.
