Ad Hoc Errors
One of our users is having multiple issues when trying to refresh data in Ad Hoc queries. The first issue is that when he tries to refresh data he gets the following message "Cannot connect to the provider. Make sure it is running in the specified host/port. Error (500)." Once he clicks the OK button he gets the following message, "Invalid grid. Either Rows or Columns have zero members. Please check suppression options and try your action again." He has compared his options in Smart View to that of a co-worker who is not having any issues refreshing data and their settings appear to be the same.
The second issue he has is when he tries to insert a row with totals within the lines of the query. He gets the following message, "Dimension member "COPS" found in comment region at grid row 245 column 1 is being deleted." He has given this row the name of "Total" and has used a regular excel sun function to add up several rows. He is able to click OK through this message for every occurence, but if he deletes his title "Total" he will not get this message.
We are on version 11.1.1 and this appears to only be a problem with Ad Hoc queries. He can refresh data in functions with no problems.
Does anyone have any ideas?
