Active Data Guard 12c : How to induce replication lag?

Manoranjan ReddySep 4 2015 — edited Sep 5 2015

Hi

I have a PRIMARY and PHYSICAL StandBy servers configured .

I'm working on a project which load balances READ queries between PRIMARY and STANDBY servers?

I want to test how that behaves in case of replication lag, for that i want to induce some lag in replication.

Tried with huge WRITE traffic, didn't see much lag (<5s).

Is there a way to induce lag like stopping replicat service on the SECONDARY in GoldenGate?

Help is appreciated.

Also is there a GUI to see all replication metrics of ADG?

Thanks

Manoranjan
