Activate Java Swing App - Keystrokes Alt -F

843806Jul 10 2008 — edited Jul 10 2008

Hello,

I am doing a little swing app that listens to the keyboard input.
The prob is that when it is not the active app it will not listen to the keyboard any more and I wanted to request focus based on keyboard input.
I am sure there is a way around this, cause usually you can have apps that get activated with keystrokes.
Also I have managed to put it with an icon on the system tray, with some code I found on the web.
Do you think there is a way around this, cause when I put my app to the taskbar and activate other window my app will not listen to the keyboard anymore? I have to use Alt-Tab (on Windows Vista) or click the taskbar to get my app active again. And I wanted other key combination...

Any help would be geartly appretiated.
Tryed to post on the forum but was not available...
