Accessing OEM from browser not working

410461Dec 4 2003 — edited Dec 5 2003
Installed oracle9i on xp professional (Acts as my db server, named 'salon')
Also installed OES (Express server) on this server
Everything works fine on the server

I try to access Enterprise Manager from the browser of my laptop like this:

http://salon/oem_webstage/emwebsite.html

The server name appears in a textbox (salon) and I click the button to launch the oem console. Internet explorer then prompts me to download oemapp_cgi, instead of launching the oem java app. Apache does work, because it displays the html page...

Yes, previously I have successfully installed the JInitiator plugin on this client from http://salon/oem_webstage/java-plugin/install_win32.html

It is strange also because I am able to run Express Instance Manager from the browser without any problem, and EIM also uses JInitiator...

Any help on this would be appreciated!!
