Accessing Data from .dbf file

Hi All,

I have one .dbf file which is not attached to any database. I have installed and created an Oracle 10g database. How can i attach that .dbf file to a fresh database or can i retrieve data from .dbf file and import into new database?

This is just my thought :- can i use HSODBC (I know this is for non-oracle database) in order to retrieve data ... Just asking

Please let me know a suggestion for this.
