Access SQL Server from 12c on linux using Heterogeneous services

Hi,

I just got 12c installed on a Oracle-linux server. I need to access MS-SQL 2008 and higher

I can't find any documentation on how to do this.

I have jdbc driver and Microsoft ODBC for linux for SQL server

1. What will be the prefered methodology to be able to create a DBLink towards SQL server?

2. Can this be done without going to the expensive gateways?

3. If it can be done, can someone point to documentation on how to get this done? Maybe examples?
