Access denied message when connecting to mysql db

Hi All,

I have downloaded MySQL connector 8.0 for both 32 bit and 64 bit (Unicode and ansi). I have successfully created and tested them in the ODBC Administrator. When I used SQL Developer to connect and I am getting the following error message.

Status : Failure -Test failed: Access denied for user 'user'@'IPAddress' (using password: YES).

Please advice.
