About PLS-00999 exception

Hi All,

while reading 'Oracle 11g PL/SQL Programming" by Michael McLaughlin , i have come across the following sentence in chapter packages (page no:322)

"the cached result set feature works for standalone(chema-level)functions but doesn't appear to work for functions inside packages.At the time of this writing, it raises PLS-00999 exception"

I didn't understand the concept. can anyone give me a brief explanation with example ? or any site. (i googled the topic.But I didnt get any useful pages )
