A1000 disk labelling
Good morning, folks.
I have a V480 with three A1000's attached. I have set up two of the A1000's for RAID 5 and plan to set up the other for a few mirrored filesystems. I have used Raid Manager 6.221 to set up the necessary LUNS and the disks all appear when running format. The problem I have is that when I come to label the disks, I get the following error:
Disk not labeled. Label it now? y
Warning: error writing VTOC.
Warning: no backup labels
Write label failed
It looks to me that the disks are perhaps not supported (but I think this is wrong as this is a recond A1000 previously used with Sun hardware). Can anyone suggest what might be causing this problem and a fix, if there is one. Many thanks in advance.
