A question that doesn't belong here (sorry)
janplaJun 8 2011 — edited Jun 8 2011I do apologise for posting this here, but there doesn't appear to be any suitable place on these forums, and I can't get in to what used to be Metalink to ask. Maybe somebody here will know where I should go. If so, please let me know.
I know that we have paid our subscription for Metalink, so I should definitely have access, but ... This is what happens: Using Firefox 3.5.16 on Linux I go to http://metalink.oracle.com/ which redirects me to what is now called Oracle Support, I believe. Here I have to enable some Flash content; this used to work until fairly recently, but now it hangs indefinitely waiting for data from something to do with "webiq", apparently.
So, does anybody here know how to work around this issue? I am using Firefox with NoScript and AdBlock; my default is to have all scripts and embedded content disabled until I explicitly enable it - otherwise I wouldn't be able to live with accessing the web, simply.
