Java HotSpot Virtual Machine

I first had this problem when trying to install a demo of Football manager 2007. I launched the installer and it started to look for the Java Virtual machine. The InstallShield Wizard gets about halfway up the progress bar and then gave me the error message:

"could not utilize start class: com.installshield.wizard.Wizard"

After a bit of searching on forums for the game, I was told I needed an update by the name of jdk-1_5_0_09-nb-5_0-win-ml.

This downloaded ok, but when i try to install it i get the same error message as shown above which is incrediby annoying! I was hoping this update would cure the problem, but now it's made the problem worse!

I was hoping that the problem would not occur when I got the game proper, but when it arrived this morning, the installer gives me the same message yet again when running from the CD!

By the way, I'm currently running version 1.50 build 1.5.0_06-b05

Any solutions or ideas or even an update that works would be superb.
