A connection with the server xxx cannot be established when accessing large folders via DIS

Denis SchlesingerSep 18 2015 — edited Oct 9 2015

Hi all!

Maybe someone of you had the same issue and has found a solution to it:

When accessing folders with several thousand documents in them via DIS the error message 'A connection with the server xxx cannot be established' is shown after a while. The underlying error is '412 - precondition given in request failed'

Smaller folders can be accessed without problems and even converting to FrameWorkFolders did not change a thing. It seems that ContentServer takes too long time to send back the response to the client. Tracing the response shows a WebDAV paypload of several MBytes.

Here is the thing: In UCM10g it worked! We have migrated to WCC 11g (PS7) and suddenly the large folders cause massive problems. We ran the exact same version of DIS (11.1.8) against UCM 10g. Today we are running:

Oracle WebCenter Content Version 11.1.1.8.0

Operating System: Linux x86-64

OS Version: Oracle Linux 5/Oracle VM

Database: Oracle enterprise Edition 11.2.0.4 with Oracle TextSearch

Java: 1.7u75

Hope you have some ideas or questions!
