Hi,
For someone who is still struggling: (1) install orarun9i.rpm from www.suse.de (or .com whatever); (2)follow this "http://www.suse.com/en/business/certifications/certified_software/oracle/docs/920_sles7_install.pdf"; (3) create a symbolic link, for example like this: ln -s /opt/oracle/admin/mydb/pfile/initmydb1234.ora /opt/oracle/product/9ir2/db/initmydb.ora; (4) edit /etc/oratab changing the two entries in "y" instead of "n"; than /etc/sysconfig/oracle adding "Yes" for example to START_DB_SERVER="YES", intelligent agent, apache, apache with SSL, for the rest I don't know; (6)as root enter the commands "init 1" then "init 5" for starting all the processes again (without rebooting, no need). Good luck!
P.S.: Have a look at "http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-oracle/2003-Aug/0063.html" and the rest in thread. It's funny and usefull!
