9i Browser Fun!

455713Sep 22 2005 — edited Mar 17 2006
Hi all,

We are finally web-enabling our Forms 6 character-mode app usng Forms 9i. I have used Javascript to tailor the console browser window (and dismiss the parent browser window also). This works very well. However, on trying to close the browser using the POST-FORM trigger, I'm having less joy.

Using WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT with either direct scripting (WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('javascript:blah;blah;blah;','_self') - or calling a HTML page that closes itself on loading doesn't close the browser window. In attempting to test several methods of doing this, I am also having trouble identifying where the HTML page needs to reside on my development PC's 'pseudo server' under Ora9ids - I keep getting the dreaded IE 404 error.

Any advice?

Shaun.
