8i on RH 7.2 install hangs at Net8 config assistant startup

8.1.7 on RH 7.2 install hangs at starting Net8 config assistant. No status shows in the detailsdialog box. Hitting stop button does nothing. 1 jre process pegs one cpu. Any one have a clue for me?
