7210 shows missing disk and I cannot add it back in

I have a 7210 which thinks it has two missing drives. The drives are present and have no fault light on them.
I have tried physically removing them and reinserting them to no avail.

The console reports the following during boot:

We are running latest firmware:
ak/SUNW,fugu@2010.02.09.0.1,1-1.11

Any ideas as to what is wrong and how I can fix it please?
