502 Proxy Error.... Help

when trying to run a search on my APEX page, I get the following error:

*502 Proxy Error*

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /pls/apex/f.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

Any ideas as to how to solve this problem?
