4.2.2,textarea-item in a read-only page(with scollbar and resizable) ?

Hi all

in 4.2.2 is there a (declarativ) way to make the content of an textarea-item in a read-only page appear as is it in write-mode (with scollbar and resizable)

Currently the entire content is spit out to the page. With a large  amount of content this it very anoying/unfriendly.
