3D Files that java 3d supports

Hi,
Java 3d can upload a .obj file with 1 problem, that .obj file will have no color. I've tried to use several 3d file formats to see if java 3d would upload it, .3ds .dae .dwg .dxf .fbx .wrl .sxi, and java 3d dosn't support these formats. Does anybody know which 3d formats java 3d supports?

or better yet, if you could let me know how to get java 3d to get the color to upload with my .obj files.
